From May 26–28, 2025, Family Enterprise Canada (FEC) hosted the Family Business Symposium in Halifax, Nova Scotia, themed Navigating the Calm and the Storm in Family Business. This signature event brought together family business leaders and advisors from across the country to explore the complexities of family enterprise.Â

Kathy Bright facilitated the Integrating FEA Into Your Practice (IFP) workshop, designed specifically for the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) community. This session aimed to strengthen participants' advising approaches when working with business families.
Judi Cunningham served as the moderator for The Enterprising Family Series: Understanding Wealth and Wealth Continuity. This engaging panel featured members from three diverse enterprising families who shared insights into the inner workings of their family enterprises. Through the lens of the Family Enterprise Model, the discussion delved into family relationships, intergenerational wealth, and individual needs, highlighting the unique challenges and opportunities faced by enterprising families.
