Our founder, Judi Cunningham, recently had the privilege of speaking at the Annual Minerva Summit in Toronto, a gathering that brings together women and men to explore meaningful themes through a woman’s lens. Since its founding in 2014 in response to a client’s need, Women of Burgundy has created a vibrant community through seminars, book clubs, and feature events designed to ignite curiosity, build confidence, and foster connection. Past summit topics have included investor education, generational wealth, eldercare, legal and tax planning, philanthropy, and more.
This year, Judi spoke on “Bridging Generations: The Power of Governance and Communication for Lasting Wealth.” Drawing on her experience as a second-generation member of an enterprising family and over two decades advising families on wealth, succession, and legacy, Judi shared insights on preparing rising generations to become confident stewards of family wealth. Her perspective highlighted not only the tools and structures that support this journey, but also the deeper question: What does it truly take to prepare the next generation for the opportunities—and responsibilities—of family wealth?
